What cookies and browser storage are

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. Websites can also use technologies such as local storage or session storage to remember information between pages or visits.

MODE may use these technologies where they are needed to provide the website, protect an account or remember a choice you have made.

Necessary storage

Some storage is required for MODE to work properly. This can include information used for:

  • sign-in and secure account sessions;
  • protecting forms and requests from misuse;
  • keeping the correct account or workspace active;
  • security and fraud prevention;
  • maintaining the choices required to operate a requested feature.

Blocking necessary storage may cause sign-in, account or planner features to stop working correctly.

Preferences and interface choices

MODE may remember interface choices such as light or dark appearance, planner colour, display settings and similar preferences so they do not need to be selected again every time.

Affiliate attribution

When somebody visits MODE through an approved affiliate or referral link, MODE may record the referral information needed to attribute a later qualifying purchase correctly.

Referral information is used for operating the MODE partner programme, calculating eligible commission and protecting the programme from abuse.

Analytics, advertising and marketing

MODE does not need non-essential advertising cookies simply to provide a secure account or planner.

If MODE introduces optional analytics, advertising, behavioural tracking or similar technologies that require a choice, the appropriate consent controls should be shown before those technologies are used where required.

Necessary security and account storage is different from optional tracking. Removing necessary cookies may sign you out.

Managing cookies and stored site data

Your browser lets you view, block or remove cookies and stored website data. The exact controls depend on the browser and device you use.

Removing MODE session or security information may sign you out, clear remembered preferences or require you to make those choices again.

Changes to this policy

MODE may update this policy as the platform changes or new integrations are introduced. The updated date at the top of this page shows when this version was last changed.
