MODE PRIVACY

Privacy Policy.

This policy explains the personal information MODE may process when you use the website, create an account, use a planner, contact us or take part in the MODE partner programme.

Updated 4 September 2026

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to people who visit MODE Planners, create or use a MODE account, use MODE planners or professional tools, contact MODE, or participate in a MODE partner or affiliate programme.

Information MODE may collect

Account information

This can include your name, email address, account identifiers, workspace membership, subscription or access status and security information connected with your account.

Profile and household information

Where you choose to create profiles for people connected with your account, MODE may store the information you enter for those profiles so eligible planners can reuse it.

Planner information

MODE stores information you choose to enter into planners. The exact information depends on the planner or professional tool being used.

Files and uploads

Some MODE features allow documents, photographs or other files to be uploaded. Those files and related information may be stored so the requested planner or professional feature can work.

Support and contact information

If you contact MODE, we may store your name, email address, message, reference number and information needed to deal with the request.

Technical and security information

MODE may process technical information needed to protect and operate the service, such as session information, browser or device details, security events and request information.

Partner and affiliate information

If you apply to the MODE partner programme, MODE may process the application information you provide, referral information, qualifying customer activity, commission records and payout records.

How MODE uses information

MODE may use personal information to:

  • create, secure and operate your account;
  • provide access to planners and professional MODE tools;
  • connect eligible profiles with planners you use;
  • save the content and settings you ask MODE to remember;
  • process subscriptions and maintain access status;
  • answer support, privacy and contact requests;
  • operate the affiliate and partner programme;
  • detect abuse, protect accounts and maintain platform security;
  • improve the reliability and operation of MODE;
  • meet applicable accounting, regulatory or legal obligations.

Depending on the activity, processing may be necessary to provide the service you requested, based on legitimate operational or security interests, required by law, or based on your consent where consent is the appropriate basis.

Profiles and information about children

MODE can allow an adult account holder to create or manage profiles for people connected with that account, including managed child profiles where the relevant MODE plan or planner supports them.

Managed child profiles are intended to be entered and controlled by the responsible adult account holder. They are not intended to create a separate paid child login simply because a profile exists.

Only enter information that is appropriate for the planner or feature you are using.

AI features and external integrations

Some MODE tools can include AI-assisted features or integrations with external services such as mapping, search, communications or other specialist services.

When you actively use one of these features, information needed to perform that request may be sent to the relevant configured service provider. MODE should limit this to the information needed to perform the requested function.

Do not include unnecessary passwords, payment-card details or unrelated sensitive information in an AI request or uploaded document.

Payments and subscriptions

MODE may store subscription, plan, invoice or payment-status information needed to operate your account.

Payment-card processing can be handled by a specialist payment provider. MODE does not need to store your complete card details simply to know whether a MODE subscription is active.

When information may be shared

MODE may share or make information available to service providers where that is necessary to operate a feature you use. Examples can include hosting, payment processing, email delivery, security, AI services and mapping or other integrations.

MODE does not sell your personal information to advertisers.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect MODE or its users, or in connection with a legitimate business transfer where appropriate protections apply.

How long information is kept

MODE keeps information for as long as it is reasonably needed for the account, planner, support request, security record, financial record or other purpose for which it was collected.

Different types of information may have different retention periods. Some records may need to be retained after an account is closed where required for security, accounting, dispute handling or legal obligations.

Security

MODE uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect account and platform information. These can include controlled access, authenticated sessions, role-based access, security logging and protection of stored credentials and integration secrets.

No online system can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their password, device and account access.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on your circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent.

Some information can be reviewed or changed directly through the MODE Account Hub. For other requests, use the MODE contact page.

MODE may need to confirm your identity before acting on a privacy request so another person cannot obtain or alter your information.

Cookies and browser storage

MODE uses cookies and browser storage for purposes such as secure sessions, sign-in and interface preferences. More information is available in the Cookie Policy.

Contacting MODE about privacy

If you have a question about this policy or how information is handled, use the MODE contact page and explain that your message is about privacy.

Changes to this policy

MODE may update this policy as the platform, planners, integrations or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
