Cancellation & refunds
MODE is billed in advance. Before you confirm a purchase or plan change, we show the amount due, when the change takes effect and the next monthly price.
Cancel a monthly subscription
You can stop a MODE membership or Pro bolt-on from renewing. Unless a legal cancellation right requires something different, cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You keep access until that date and no further renewal payment is taken.
Downgrade to a lower-priced plan
Ordinary downgrades take effect at your next renewal. Your current paid plan stays available until then, so we do not normally issue a partial-month refund simply because you have chosen a lower plan for the next billing period.
Upgrades
If you upgrade during a paid month, the amount due for the change is shown before you confirm it. The higher level of access starts after payment is confirmed.
14-day cancellation rights
If you are a UK consumer, you may have a statutory right to cancel an online service contract within 14 days. Where you expressly ask MODE to start supplying the service during that period, the law may allow a proportionate deduction for the service supplied before you cancel. MODE will not use these terms to remove any cancellation or refund right that you have by law.
Incorrect payments or service problems
If you were charged incorrectly, a payment was duplicated, the service was not supplied as agreed, or another statutory refund right applies, contact MODE. Those cases are handled separately from an ordinary end-of-period cancellation or downgrade.
Your data
Cancelling paid access does not automatically erase your planner records, people, jobs or uploads. Access may become read-only or locked when the paid period ends, subject to MODE's retention and privacy rules.
Founder and fixed-term offers
Any fixed-term or one-off offer will show its duration, price and cancellation terms before purchase.
